Bowling Rules
- Lakes will have a total of 10 people divided into two teams of 5 players. Teams must be a 3/2 mix of men and women (3 men and 2 women, or 3 women and 2 men on each team). All bowlers must be of 15 years or older on the day of the tournament. A minimum of 8 bowlers are required; otherwise, a lake must forfeit. The score for an absent bowler is 150 for men and women and no handicap will be assessed to this score.
- Bowlers must use highest current average (within 2 years) for the tournament from a USBC sanction league.
- If a bowler does not have an USBC sanction average, his or her average will be determined by the 3 games bowled during the tournament.
- Handicap is individual and is 90% of the difference between the bowler’s average and 240 pins for both men and women.
- If, for whatever reason, a bowler can not play all three games, the score for their 3rd game will be the average of their 2 games minus 10 pins.
- Participating lakes must submit entries prior to the tournament. Each coach will be advised by the chairperson as to procedure for submitting entries.
- For all additional bowling procedures, USBC playing rules will apply.
